Bio:

Jack Hyde was born on 6 July 1994 in Tokyo, Japan. His passion for acting started when he was 6 years old and then went to act professionally at the age of 16. He spent the majority of his acting career in Singapore before moving to and continuing to act in UK in 2023. He first attended Centre Stage School of the Arts for 11 years. It was at Centre Stage where he performed in mostly theatrical plays (both published and originally created) and got to work with the likes of Ali Tompkins, Peter Hodgson, Andy Tear and Daniel Jenkins. He acted in plays like Lord of the Flies, Our Day Out and Living With Lady Macbeth. It was also at Centre Stage where he acted in his first ever short film at the age of 10 called Stick Boy (directed by Putnam Trumbull, a film student of NYU Tisch School of the Arts), which went on to win the Voice Award at the 4th Singapore Short Film Festival Awards in 2008. Also, during Centre Stage, he would continue to work with other emerging film students from NYU Tisch School of the Arts, like Jordan Schiele (who directed him in the film, Prank).

After 11 fantastic years at Centre Stage and passing his IGCSE O Levels, in 2011, Jack got accepted into the Performance Diploma at LASALLE College of the Arts. The course not only covered acting but also singing, music, dancing and mixed martial arts. In 2014, Jack graduated with his Diploma in Performance and, after graduating, has been acting in mostly short/feature films, TV/web series, online and TV commercials, music videos, corporate videos and some theatre plays. He also writes and produces his own work (mostly short films and monologues). His most notable productions include Viral Haunt, Bitter Revenge, Equals, Crazy Rich Asians, 7Up Feels Good To Be You (which won Best Commercial/Infomercial at 4 different films festivals in Los Angeles), This Land Is Mine, My Shards, Code of Law, Shero, Mommy I Don't Want To, The Singapore Grip, Price of a Bargain, Bye Dummy, Monstrosity, Reus, 'Stop!' Monologue and 'Eff Off! Monologue. The latter 5 he wrote and produced.
