Louise Burke is a Scottish actress and singer with multilingual flair, fluent in French, Spanish, Portuguese, and German. Known for her ability to perform like a native speaker in each language, she brings cultural authenticity and global range to her roles across film, television, theatre, and music. Alongside her creative work, she is also a freelance translator for the United Nations, with an academic background in French and Hispanic Studies.
She has trained with industry leaders including Ken Rea (Guildhall) and Mary Hammond, former Head of Musical Theatre at the Royal Academy of Music, whose clients include Adele, Chris Martin, and Lea Salonga. Louise has worked closely with Hammond since 2015 and continues to refine her RP and accent work with coach Lindsey Lawson.
Her screen credits include Pistol (Danny Boyle), The Crown (Netflix), The Undertow (Netflix) opposite Jamie Dornan, and Bollywood features such as Tehran (with John Abraham) and This Is Also a Love Story (with Jiya Shankar and M.S. Bhaskar). After wrapping her lead role as Amelia Bruce on This is Also a Love Story, she was invited back to perform stunt double work for Jiya Shankar under the supervision of renowned stunt performer Nick Khan — a testament to her precision and trustworthiness on set.
Louise was also a body double for actress Anna Francolini on House of the Dragon, adding another global title to her screen experience. She is the current face of the Caledonian Sleeper business campaign and is earning a reputation as being trusted by leading creatives for roles that demand depth, discipline, and multilingual agility.
She is now working on her debut album with Sonja Kristina (Curved Air). Her singles Artist’s Rut and Benevolent Not Malevolent, produced by Jon Cohen, were recorded under Hammond’s guidance and have received media interest for their lyrical grit and cinematic feel.
Louise has also developed a wide range of advanced skills in SFX and screen armoury through dedicated training with Perry Costello, one of the UK's most respected experts in weapons handling for film and television. Her on-screen work spans a range of visually striking and character-driven performances — from embodying the outrageous Zinnia Wormwood in M.L. Bacardi's Guinea Pig (directed by Silence) to appearing as Dr. Paul in Emmerdale (ITV), directed by Diana Patrick, and fronting the Betfred Safer Gambling campaign for 5USA.
With global press recognition and increasing visibility across major productions, Louise Burke is an actor-singer who bridges languages, genres, and industries — a bold creative force on the rise.
