Kate Woodland is a Writer and Producer, Kates passion and talent for writing started at the tender age of 12 and she had her work published by the time she was 13, many short successful publications later she was inspired to write “The Pilot”her first full book . “The Pilot” an epic tale of the tyrannical empire of Korhaven a far right wing federation at war with Elbus a small yet mighty country rebelling against Korhaven rule and fighting back. The story focuses on Alexandra Richter a Korhaven fighter pilot who although grew up closely with the Elbus people peacefully is captured behind enemy lines after a plane crash and is taken to a cruel POW camp which causes her severe PTSD later in life . Kate was inspired to write the story after visiting South East Asia over several years and fell in love with the beautiful countries and cultures.
Kate turned “The Pilot” into a script and produced it as her first short film POC and after a great response she is producing the full length drama series in November 2022.
Kate is an experienced script writer, costume designer, casting director and creative director.
Kate is also set to produce “The Brackenwood Broadcast” a psychological horror coming in 2023.
Kate has also turned her hand to production design and set dressing
After university she gained a interested in media law with a particular interest in intellectual property and contract law . She started to get involved writing contracts and assisting friends with contracts for their films and tv shows and protecting IP for script writers and authors.
