The Man They Call G is the UK’s most unique, quirky and versatile comedy singing impressionist and has been in professional showbiz for nearly three decades (I know, he doesn’t look old enough!). His career began in 1998 as a Butlin’s Redcoat. In 2002 he joined The Brother Lees comedy trio and toured the UK for four years, culminating in a top-of-the-bill performance at the London Palladium.
Since going solo, G has performed all over the world on cruise ships, and throughout the UK in clubs, theatres, holiday parks and festivals. In 2015 he got four yeses on Britain’s Got Talent. He headlined the renowned Cromer Pier show for two consecutive summer seasons in 2018 and 2019, and headlined the Clacton West Cliff Summer Show in 2021. G has nine professional pantomime credits, and has played everything from dame to a magic mirror! He also played villain in the Great Yarmouth Hippodrome Circus shows for Halloween 2020 and 2021, and Christmas 2024.
Offstage, his wide range of voices and impressions has been put to good use in voiceovers for countless projects. He is also a gifted artist and writer. G currently lives in Norfolk with his family and a menagerie of animals.
