Bio:

Darrel is a working-class neurodivergent East-London actor. He was born and raised in Romford, an area within the lower third of arts and cultural inclusion. Despite this, Darrel has managed to gain much experience and credits within the industry. He is an extremely versatile performer with a particular passion for playing antagonistic characters, both within comedy and drama. Darrel has worked within Theatre, Film, commercials and the corporate/e-learning sector.

As a writer Darrel has previously gained Arts Council Funding for his work and has been commissioned as a writer. Two of his plays were in the top 35 plays of the 2023 Papatango Playwriting Award and he has had ITV mentorship in scripted comedy. The National Theatre and the Bush Theatre have spoken very highly of his work, as have his audiences. His work has been heard on BBC Radio and seen on BBC2.

He is also a qualified and experienced drama and theatre arts Teacher and has worked as a dramaturg.
